Research is an essential component of ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s International Outreach program and ranges widely from disease prevention and prevalence to public health. Faculty, medical students, and post-baccalaureate students collaborate on longitudinal research projects and contribute to data that allows ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ to improve healthcare for these underserved areas continuously.
Best practices from the International Outreach and Research programs continue to be disseminated in national conferences, including AOA, AACOM, ACOFP, and other venues. ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ students and faculty have won numerous honors for their posters and publications and regularly publish their scholarly work.
