ES ÇİÇEKDAĞ

In Çiçekdağı, Kırşehir, a violet haze known as “Deli Koku” begins erasing memories. Mehmet, newly returned to his hometown; Elif, a doctor assigned to the district; and Can, a deaf painter who reads the world through lines, follow a trail along the Delice River between Çiçekdağı in Kırşehir and neighboring Yerköy in Yozgat. A missing line in Dede Hamza’s bozlak leads them to a local tale about a shepherd who abducted a Çapanoğlu’s daughter. Rooted in the bozlak legacy associated with Neşet Ertaş, Muharrem Ertaş and Hacı Taşan, the search turns the town’s music into a living archive. Different memories on each side of the river point toward the secret of the Purple Flower and Ancient Roots—and Reis Haydar’s plan to shape the region’s future for personal gain. The trio must uncover the source of Deli Koku before the town forgets its own story.
