Mark A. Sanders, DO, JD, MPH, LLM, MS, FACOFP, has been named the new Dean for 勛圖惇蹋 (勛圖惇蹋)s Louisiana campus.
Sanders has served as the Interim Dean for 勛圖惇蹋-Louisiana since July 1, 2021. Prior to his time as Interim Dean, Sanders held the position of Associate Dean for Curriculum, Assessment and Medical Education for 勛圖惇蹋-Louisiana, a role he had previously held at 勛圖惇蹋s Auburn campus, as well.

I have been part of the 勛圖惇蹋-Louisiana family since the beginning and am excited to step into this role. It will be an honor to lead our faculty, staff and students as we continue to grow our partnership with ULM and establish a strong foundation for our Colleges mission and vision here in Louisiana and across the Delta Region.
Dr. Sanders has previously held leadership roles at both 勛圖惇蹋-Auburn and 勛圖惇蹋-Louisiana, so it was a natural progression to transition him into the role of Dean for the Louisiana campus, said Dixie Tooke-Rawlins, DO, FACOFP, President and Provost of 勛圖惇蹋. His dedication to the students and commitment to our mission will ensure the continued success of our newest campus.
Sanders received a BA in biology/chemistry from Texas Christian University, a DO from The University of North Texas Health Sciences Center - Fort Worth, a JD from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, an MPH from The University of North Texas Health Sciences Center - Fort Worth, an MS in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Northern Michigan University and an LLM in Elder Law from Stetson University Law. He and his wife, Anada, have three children, Sofia (14), Liam (10) and Emma Grace (8).
