³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Faculty Members Receive Prestigious Awards from the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine

The American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (AOASM) held its 33rd Clinical Conference May 2 – 5, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio.

Gunnar Brolinson, DO, Vice Provost for Research at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ, received the Mentor of the Year Award. His dedication to not just the osteopathic profession, but helping students and fellow physicians to achieve more granted him not just the nomination, but this prestigious award. Dr. Brolinson works tirelessly in helping students at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ and beyond to be the best physicians they can be.

At the conference, Mark Rogers, DO, associate professor for family and sports medicine at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ-Virginia, received his Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine Award. He was co-sponsored by Dr. Brolinson and Phil Arnold, DO, a 2005 ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Sports Medicine Fellow.

Brandon Eck, DO, a 2018 ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Sports Medicine Fellow, and assistant professor for family medicine and sports medicine at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ-Virginia, won best research poster presentation.

Josh Priddle, DO, assistant professor for family medicine and sports medicine at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ-Auburn, won the award for best podium case presentation.

David Leslie, DO, and Lauren Leslie, DO, both assistant professors for family and sports medicine at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ-Virginia, also presented posters at the conference.
